The first event, held in 2008, was a business meeting for wholesalers and stores.
Since 2009, it has been held mainly in May and November at the Akihabara UDX Building in a format where figure collectors can freely participate.
The latest figures from exhibiting manufacturers including MegaHouse were mainly displayed in the exhibition space, while in the event space inside the venue a stage hosted various voice actors and animation production staff.

From 2020, the event was held three times as an online event called “Mega Hobby EXPO Online.”
In November 2022, the in-person event was held in Akihabara for the first time in three years.
In 2023, the event theme was “It's SHOW TIME!!” Held for the first time in midsummer, figures from a total of 12 manufacturers thrilled the venue.
